These events are of course dependent on Covid Restrictions and run by volunteers so totally subject to change - but it's our plan for the year. Would you like to organise something? Let us know.

March 14

TREE PLANTING DAY. We have planted 6 new trees as part of the Queen's Green Canopy scheme and Northampton Rotary's '100 trees for Northampton'

ART IN THE PARK.  We'll be inviting artists old and young to the church yard for an afternoon of creativity.

BUG HOTEL WORKSHOP. We'll be holding a workshop to create bug hotels for the minibeasts - take them home for your garden or install them in the church yard.

July 4

LITTER PICK SUNDAY. With an American flavour. Did you know about the connection between Robert Browne (buried in the church yard) and the founding fathers of the USA? There may be hot dogs.

BAT MONITORING EVENT. We plan to monitor bat activity in the church yard with a bat detector and some help from the Bat Conservation Trust. Updates on our socials.

May 30

GREAT BRITISH SPRING CLEAN. This is the national Keep Britain Tidy event - we will be running a big litter pick in the church yard and surrounding areas. Volunteers Wanted.

April 3/4

SOW IT OR THROW IT - Community Activity.  We will distribute 200 seed packs & instructions to households around St Giles Church. Sow the seeds and grow them on into plug plants, or bring them down to the Wildflower Walk and sow your seeds.

March 20/21

WILDFLOWER WALK SEEDING. We will start to sow the Wildflower Walk strip meadow with seeds. This activity is weather-dependent so could happen any weekend late March/early April.
